I started my career in recruitment as a consultant in technology staffing, then spent three years flying as cabin crew. Since then I’ve made the move from the cabin back into a corporate career myself.

On every flight I worked alongside people who had already built careers before flying: lawyers, teachers, people from sales and tech. Flying gave them even more: calm under pressure, cultural fluency and a service instinct you can’t train in corporate roles.

Yet almost all of us had the same worry. We knew we had the skills, but we didn’t know how to get back into a corporate role, or how to show employers that our experience in the air translates to corporate roles.

What does it cost to hire through 1A Recruitment?

We agree our fee with you for each role before we start, as every brief is different. There are no upfront costs and no retainers.

What if a hire doesn’t work out?

If your hire leaves within 90 days, we find a replacement at no extra cost.

How do you vet candidates?

Every candidate is interviewed by someone who has worked as cabin crew, and references are checked before you see a profile.

Do candidates have corporate experience?

Many do. A lot of crew had careers before flying, in fields like law, teaching, sales, tech and more. Each profile shows what someone did before flying as well as during it.

Which roles do you cover?

Customer success and account management, executive and personal assistance, VIP and client relations, and remote operations. All of our roles are remote, with companies worldwide.
